Effingham’s thriving central business district provides a unique shopping opportunity and dining experience, in addition to a wide range of professional services.  The goal of the Effingham Central Business Group is to promote the central business district and it is responsible for cooperative promotions and activities.

Annual activities sponsored by the organization include:

• Spectacular Spring Giveaway, March 2005
• Crossroads Dash 5K/15K Run-Walk, June 2005
• Summer Splash and Sidewalk Sales, July 2005

The Effingham Central Business Group is an affiliate of the Greater Effingham Chamber of Commerce & Industry.  Membership is open to Chamber member businesses and professionals who are interested in the group’s goals and activities.  Regular monthly meetings are held the second Monday of each month at Rexroat’s Distinctive Dining from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.
